GOYA Basketball
GOYA Basketball is a great way for our young people to have fun, stay active, improve, and build lasting friendships while strengthening their connection to the Church. Through teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition, players grow in confidence, develop new skills, and enjoy being part of an Orthodox Christian community that extends beyond Sunday mornings.

Practices start in early December for both boys and girls in 2nd - 12th grade. Below are some of the basics for the program.

The Metropolis Basketball Tournament is about so much more than basketball! It’s a chance to travel with friends, represent your parish, meet GOYAns from other Orthodox communities, cheer on your teammates, and make memories that last long after the final buzzer.

Senior GOYA Boys – Metropolis Tournament
The Senior GOYA boys’ basketball team Coached by Yanni Hillas and Niko Paulos proudly represented Holy Trinity and Prophet Elias at the Metropolis Tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

GOYA 8TH GRADE BOYS – 2026 CYO CHAMPIONS!
Congratulations to our GOYA 8th Grade Boys Basketball Team, who captured the 2026 CYO Championship and successfully defended their title! An incredible achievement that reflects hard work, teamwork, and dedication throughout the season.
